Automotive Service Management ASM

  • 7 courses in the first semester
  • 1 hour of study/assignments required for each hour in class
  • 19 hours of class (38 hours/week commitment)

Arts & Literacy Program requires a heavy reading load. This includes reading and comprehending various textbooks, technical manuals, case studies, etc.

Math and Science Program requires basic math skills required. No specific math courses.

Technology Basic computer skills required. This includes Microsoft Office, emails, and the internet to check the student portal for updates in the program.

What personal qualities should someone interested in this career have?

  • Enjoy working with computer and program tools

There are various working conditions the graduates can be involved in. Typical conditions can be working indoors, with some physical labour.

  • Assist customers with required automotive services, inspection, and repairs
  • Providing estimates on services
  • Resolve technical issues and questions for specific vehicles 
  • Managing team projects of automotive services
  • Perform required diagnostics on vehicles to help problem solve any issues
