Arts & Literacy Applicants who wish to transition their writing skills to the college environment should consider this program.

High school courses in Business Studies or Business and Technological Communication would be beneficial.

Math & Science Applicants who do not have a math background should consider this program.

Technology Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Office, email, Internet).

Useful background experience for this program would be

Experience in a secondary school business club, entry-level work experience in a customer service environment, and/or participation in fundraising campaigns.

Graduates of this program may go on to become

Entry-level business, customer service, or management/supervisor trainee.

This program is a preparatory program. The goal of graduation would be to gain admission to a two-year business diploma program at Fanshawe College.

Opportunities for further development or education

  • Students who complete the Business Fundamentals program may be eligible for admission to Level 2 of any two-year business diploma program at Fanshawe College.
  • Graduates of the Business Fundamentals Ontario College Certificate program who meet the admission requirements can also apply to Level 1 (Semester 1) of a program offered by the School of Information Technology and be granted one to three internal credits dependent upon the program choice.
