Entry level or junior positions as;
Contractor, project manager, estimator, quantity surveyor, site supervisor, subcontractor, building developer, material supplier, field coordinator, expeditor, inspector, scheduler or contract manager.

Typical working conditions for this kind of work:

•     Work in both office settings and construction sites
•     Construction projects may require travel away from home base

Tasks a graduate may do in the workplace

•     Assist in preparing estimates of material and labour costs for tendered projects
•     Assist with contracts or revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors
•     Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods
•     Assist to plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines
•     Assist to plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities, or systems
•     Assist with budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports
•     Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work  procedures, complaints, or construction problems
•     Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, or other regulations
•     Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with environmental regulations
•     Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed
•     Implement or administer quality control programs
